This project deals with the modelling of flows of wood and wood products in
the processing chain, while respecting the principle of sustainable use
of resources in terms of promoting the green economy. The green economy
represents a "low carbon" economy which effectively uses renewable
resources and is socially inclusive. Forestry-wood sector can
significantly contribute to meet the objectives of the green economy,
particularly in the area of climate change policy through the rational
use of wood as a renewable raw material. The main objective of the
project is to create a model of optimal utilisation of raw wood material
as a primary source of information in determining fixation of CO2
aiming at promoting the rational use of wood.
