The AgroForestry Consortium, whose members are the Technical University of Zvolen and the Slovak University of Agriculture, will be entered into the register of consortia of Slovak universities as of December 31, 2025.

It will become a unique consortium of universities in the Slovak Republic focused on ecology, sustainable agriculture and precision forestry, design and green infrastructure

Preparatory activities (including infrastructure) were financially supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of the Slovak Republic from the mechanism for supporting restoration and resilience within the Consortium-AgroForestry project (08I01-20-V05-00011) with a budget of over EUR 20 million.

Activity 2 aims to create joint study programs:

  • Landscape Conservation and Use (Doctoral study program)
  • Wildlife Management and Conservation (Doctoral study program)
  • Inclusive Exterior and Interior Design (Doctoral study program)

Within Activity 4: Connecting Research and Innovation Capacities for Excellent Research and Innovation in Agriculture, we are implementing the following activities:

  • Creating a catalog of research teams and research areas Exchanging best practices and experiences with the management of research teams and research infrastructure and their harmonization (HRS4R)
  • Stimulating communities to create joint research teams and share research infrastructure

  • Establishing a consortium centre Euraxess (supporting the career development of young academics)

Also, within activity 5 we are creating a catalogue of research infrastructure and sharing our educational infrastructure with the consortia.

The aim of the consortium is:
