Every applicant for study at the Technical University in Zvolen who has completed previous education abroad must submit a recognized certificate of education issued by a foreign secondary school or higher education institution.
Each applicant who has successfully completed full secondary education abroad is required to submit a decision on the recognition of equivalence of the documents obtained abroad when applying for Bachelor’s degree programs at the Technical University in Zvolen.
This requirement does not apply to certificates obtained in the Czech Republic.
The decision on the recognition of educational qualifications is issued by the District Office in the seat of the region in Slovakia, based on the applicant’s place of residence or, if the applicant does not have residence in the Slovak Republic, based on the seat of the faculty.
This process is carried out in accordance with § 36 of Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on the recognition of educational documents and on the recognition of professional qualifications, and on amendments and supplements to certain acts (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”).
