A proposal and realization of a pilot retort with reduced emissions for charcoal production in marginial zone and verification its application

In the marginal and woody parts of Slovakia with high unemployment rate,there is a strong tendency to devolop traditional small - capacity charcoal production. Similar tendency is seen in marginal parts of other European countries and especially in developing countries. However,traditional charcoal production in retort without effective primary and secondary environmental protection measures does not comply with up to date legislation reyuirements on the environment protection. Proposed project has experimental character of applied research of the pollutants origin and possibilities of their minimalisation. Educational,k research and experimental small capacity model charcoal production facility will be built for this purpose. Research of pollutants production (CO, TOC, NOx).
