New forms of teaching geoinformatics at TU Zvolen

The main objective of the project is the implementation of methods and forms of education with the support of modern information and communication technologies into teaching geo-informatics at Technical University in Zvolen. Methods and procedures for e-learning will be used in combination with traditional methods of teaching. They will fulfil explanatory and supplementary functions. New forms of learning enable a deeper understanding of concepts, key features and limitations of geo-information technologies, procedures for the collection and processing of geographical data, creative applications of geographic information systems for scientific and practical tasks. Educational materials will be updated by the latest knowledge from the field of geo-informatics.
