Multiplex molecular genetic analyses for identification of unknown biological samples from free living animals

To identify samples of game species (red deer, roe deer, fallow deer, mouflon, wild boar, hare, rabbit, bear, wolf, lynx and chamois) molecular genetic methods based on the analysis of mtDNA: D-loop, cytochrome b, cytochromoxidais subunit I (COI) and nuclear DNA: mikrosatellites will be applied. Samples will be provided by the Slovak Hunting Chamber and Lesy SR. DNA isolation will be done from samples of muscles, blood, hair, droppings, and multiplex PCR reactions will be carried out using the pre-established protocols. Developing of methodologies will contribute to the precise identification of biological samples and forensic clarification of crimes.
