Timber transport is one of the final stages of the logging process when harvested timber is transported from forest landing directly to the customer or to the main landing. Rational timber transport requires sufficient density and quality of forest road network and modern transport technology in line with parameters of forest road network. Timber transport technologies have high loading capacity which allows them transport of large volumes of raw wood material. The main goal of the project is to optimize logistic of timber transportation using software products, which can help us to minimalize costs of timber transportation in compliance with maximal allowed dimensions of trucks and also ensure the protection of forest road network before damage and ergonomy of timber transport.
