Modelling substitution changes at timber market under the increasing demand for renewable energy resources

The main objective of the project is to develop a model of substitution relations at the timber market in the SR as a result of the increased demand for energy wood. In order to develop such a model, analysis of the present state and conditions of wood utilisation in the SR, analysis of legislative conditions supporting the use of wooden biomass and identification of price and income factors influencing demand for industrial and energy wood shall be carried out. The project output will be a quantified and verified model of substitution relations at timber market, which can be used for estimation of the future demand by industrial and energy sectors in the conditions of the SR.
