In 2007 the Beech Primeval Forests of the Carpathians were inscribed on the List of the world natural heritage, as bilateral, cross boundary heritage of Slovakia and Ukraine containing unique natural values of universal importance. After the inscription one of the attributes recognized is a high potential of the visit rate. The main aim of the project is identification of public awareness together with meta-analysis use and visit rate development evaluation, as well as its influence upon the environment, the prognosis of development of the specific forms of the tourism. It is important to find a desirable combination of increase, dissipation, or concentration of visit rate such way that the territory carrying capacity is not exceeded. This can be reached by the visit rate direction to the areas chosen on the base of the ecosystem carrying capacity analyses. Project also observes the impact of the inscription process of UNESCO properties from their protection point of view as well as use of local benefits
