Children's Forest University -- Tool for Popularization of Forestry Sciences and Research

Forests of Slovakia are natural heritage that in long-term reflect situation and development of society in national, European and global level. An important point is to create some programs for motivation of student to participate on science-research project and in this way contribute to popularization of science and research among young generations. The proposed project is aimed at creation of long-term partnership among forestry science-research institutions, organizations specialized in presentation of results of activities and regional school. Tool for realization of definite goal will be children's forestry university. Employees of science-research institutions will present some results of forest research activities in science popularizing way, and activities of forest- related environmental education. Students and pupils from partner schools will have an opportunity to cooperate in creation of presentation materials about the latest forest research results and present it in "Secondary-school Scientific Activity Programs" and other biological competitions. Results of project will be presented to public through travelling exhibition.
