Utilization of forest mechanization is close connected with timber extracting process. Forest machines become heavier and more powerful with success of development and their negative impacts to forest environment increases proportionally. Main problem there is compaction of forest soil followed by secondary negative consequences, such as: soil erosion, worsening of physiologic processes of trees and microorganisms in forest soil. Main goal of this project is to analyze the rate of soil compaction caused by various logging technologies, exact measurement of bulk density, with use of modern technology for characteristic types of forest soil.
