Detailed data on research infrastructure/laboratory
- Description and data on the research infrastructure/laboratory:
For research in the field of fluorescence microscopy (e.g. lignified cell walls of forest trees or microscopic pathogenic fungi), research infrastructure is only a necessary basis.
-
List of equipment:
Leica fluorescence microscope, MultiMode 8 atomic force microscope, Olympus light microscope, Leica stereo magnifier, Epredia cryostat, Leica critical point dryer (CPD), Leica rotary microtome, Bright slide microtome.
-
Justification of uniqueness/strategic importance:
The microscopy laboratory is part of the interfaculty top team at TUZVO called Structure and Properties of Lignocellulosic Materials (WOODMAT). The laboratory is one of two laboratories for atomic force microscopy (PF QNM-AFM) of lignocellulosic materials in the Slovak Republic, the only one in the BBSK region.

Assigning research infrastructure to one or more research areas:
- Agricultural, forestry and veterinary sciences
- Chemical engineering
- Life sciences (plant al sciences)
