Detailed data on research infrastructure/laboratory:

  1.  Description and data on research infrastructure/laboratory:
This workplace was implemented by the Department of Environmental and Forestry Machinery together with the management of the Faculty of Technology and the company BRC Slovakia s.r.o. Vrútky. The company BRC Slovakia is the exclusive representative of the American company Parker Hannifin in Slovakia and is engaged in commercial and technical activities in the field of hydraulic and pneumatic drives. The workplace is equipped with two educational stand devices (hydraulic device and pneumatic device) for teaching the basics of hydraulic and pneumatic drives. Teaching and demonstrations of the work of fluid mechanisms are provided here by trained employees of the company BRC Slovakia. The advantage is that students can obtain a certificate of completion of the course on the construction of fluid mechanisms as part of teaching the basics of fluid mechanisms, which is a certain advantage for their subsequent application in practice. The workplace also serves as a certified training workplace of the company BRC Slovakia for commercial purposes and training of workers from practice in the field of fluid mechanisms.
  2. List of equipment:
Stend device for simulating the work of hydrostatic mechanisms, stend device for simulating the work of pneumatic mechanisms, device for diagnostics of hydraulic systems.

  3. Reasoning for uniqueness/strategic importance:
Modernly equipped workplace presenting the current technical level of hydraulic and pneumatic elements and systems. Possibility of conducting commercial training in the field of fluid and pneumatic mechanisms and their control.

  4. Assigning research infrastructure to one or more research areas:
Mechanical engineering – fluid systems technology.
