The project aims to build new applied mathematical and numerical model and software for modelling of spreading forest fires. The model and software will take into account all necessary aspects influencing the forest fire spread, the complex and non-homogeneous forest structure and calamity areas, the real Earth topography and the time varying weather conditions. The developed software will contain assimilation of observed data, fire front speed and shape, into the numerical model, allowing thus high quality prediction of the fire propagation in real time. A further conclusion will be to design fire-fighting elements for elimination of spread forest fires.
