Unconventional machining processes are specialized operation used by industrial companies world wide. They are particularly applicable for the shaping and finishing of materials that are difficult to tackle by established methods of machining and are often regarded as complementary technologies to existing practices. The fields to which the nanotechnologies, materials and new production technologies developed in the CEEPUS network tasks can be applied is wide, and ranges from domestic appliances to electronics, car, medical, tool and die, and aerospace products.
