The main objective of the project is to develop a tool for forest state prediction, release it for the general public as free of charge and allow it to be introduced for forest planning and use in classic forestry operations. The tool serves to simulate and visualize the forest and as an analytical tool for decision making. The tool will be sensitive to the natural environment (climate, soil), forest management practices (thinnings and interventions, harvest and transport practices, harvest regeneration systems and forms) and socioeconomic environment (ecosystem services, wood prices, interest rates, discount rates, unit costs). The tool will also take into account risk in the form of modeling of random events such as calamities.
