List of papers presented at the symposium WS&P 2010

Introduction

The Faculty of Wood Sciences and Technology of the Technical University in Zvolen has been carrying out research in the area of wood structure and properties for almost 60  years. The symposium "Wood Structure and Properties" has been organized since 1990 every fourth year.This sixth symposium will be organized as the joint event of the IUFRO Unit 5.01.00 "Wood quality" and the Faculty of Wood Sciences of the Technical University in Zvolen.

Aim of the conference

The aim of the Symposium is to present the recent knowledge in natural variation of wood properties, biological control of wood quality and the influence of wood quality on final products, and to outline the trends of further development.

Topics

The Symposium will be divided into five sessions according to following topics:

1. Biological control of wood properties
2. Wood structure and dendrology
3. Fundamental knowledge and variation of wood properties
4. Evaluation of wood quality and its influence on final products
5. Behavior of wood in technological processes
